Crappy OS? Mine runs perfectly. Just this one game isn't supported . And the game's company is making a patch to fix that ^^

Re: RTS's
I had this one computer for 4 years with XP on it and then I got a new one with vista that had every hardware specification doubled. Processor, ram, video card, even the motherboard bus was twofold that of the older computer. I had the most updated drivers on both computers and to my amazement the older computer ran games faster. The reason? Vista is not a good platform for gaming as it draws too many system resources and has memory leaks that you could throw Diablo 2 cows though.

Re: RTS's
I'd stick with XP. Vista also has too many things running at once. I've never used it, but I've seen people who have it do so and later on complain. I think Windows is just getting crappier with a few good things added in.

Vitality before brutality, I always say. Just as long as you know that either you're gonna die anyway or that one more hit will finish the person off.

Re: RTS's
I love RTS's. Ive played and owned the warcraft series and i have starcraft which im waiting for number 2 to be realsed. I love command and conquer but now im mainly focused on halo wars. My strategy has always been this. A good defense promotes a strong offense and by that i mean i build up my defenses to protect my bases and then i build my attacking battalion and also i have a fleet of aerial units as well. I keep it diverse. So what are your guys preferences? Ground units or ariel units?

Re: RTS's
Air. My main game where I do this stuff against other life characters AND computers is Star Wars Battlefront 2, and the flying part is awesome when in the main game. I love being able to go in all directions, the unlimited ammo, doing loops, and the double thrusters. Of course the turrets on the ships are really annoying. When It comes to fighting actual people in splitscreen however, I like ground. When I'm on the ground, I can hide and ambuch the person attempting to ambush me. In the air, on the other hand, I'm an easy target when landing so I normally get blown up by a rocket launcher as soon as I get in the base.At least I know that I'm way better than all the opponents I've faced so far.
I can't get Warcraft, Starcraft, or Halo because of the having to pay money factor, not working on any of my computers, or just not having the consol needed. I played Halo 3 once, though. It was at my cousin's house, and he killed almost everytime I spawned. I didn't get any adjusting time at all (darn xbox controls are so different from PS2 ones.)

Re: RTS's
Battlefront isn't RTS Aneglic That is an "Action/Shooter" base. RTS is building you armies and bases.
My strategy, (Using Command and Conquer 3 for the 360 as an example.) I would build up base defenses until the higher tech levels defenses are available, then sell my low grade defenses. Build the Uber ones. Then begin pumping out the super units, such as the Mammoth Tanks and just Steamrolling! > Also, a fun C&C strategy(GDI only) Get 2 or three sniper teams, and just pump out Juggernauts. THen find a fefw chokepoints on the level and set up a constant barrage on them, or send the snipes into the bases sneakily and just DECIMATE.

Re: RTS's
But, but it kinda is (right?). You have to set up teams, you can control your team (I can get them to follow, but they don't seem to get the idea that the BIG FLASHING GUY is the one to be targeting), and you can set up a spot to camp out and snipe away. Kinda fun just sitting there, waiting for the other player to come along, them BLAM head shot! But that KINDA is a RTS... at least to me... I need to get Team Fortress 2 soon.

Re: RTS's
My favorite weapon though is the blaster rifle. Whenever the vitality thing has gone down the drain, I just pull out the rifle and blast away. DIE, MORONS DIE! -me in middle of annoying levels

Re: RTS's
I love Darth Maul most. In assault mode, He kicks some Jedi ass! With a dual lightsaber, force pull, uber high jumps, and the blocking, I can go after anyone and have all them indiots with guns (like Bobba Fett) kill themselves with the rocket launcher and such. And then when I jump down on peeps from above... lets just say it's a good thing that game doesn't show blood.

Re: RTS's
Well if using a lightsaber there wouldn't be blood, it would cauterize the wound as it inflicted it. Same with the lazers. Superheated ionized gass would just vaopize the blood and tissue.

Re: RTS's
What's odd is the fact that once it did show some blood, and it was with a lightsaber. (This was when I accidentally killed Darth Vader, the Emperor, Count Dooku, and General Grieves [all on my team] trying to kill Luke Skywalker. He's the only one that had some blod fly around on the screen, though). The only other time I've seen lood was when I was going after the Wampas on Hoth. I'm the best in that place, cause all I do is sit in a corner and shoot without caring who is in the way. I is te public enemy! .gif" alt="!" longdesc="61" />

As I said, I don't really own any, so Battlefront is the closest I got. But I love to watch peolpe play Halo. It looks like a lot of fun (if only I had the console for it...)-sigh
