Yet another newcomer

Hey everyone,

I'm Mat.. yea I know, my username does not fit quite, but everything has a story right?
I stumbled across this site while browsing google for collaborative writing and play by email and such. One site lead to another and another, and to be honest, I could not tell you how I ended up here. What matters is, that I found it, no?

About the roleplaying part. Well, I have been more or less roleplaying for... maybe 10 years? Pen and Paper at first, over to online based, mudding, then a break for a few years, back to Pen and Paper, then mushing and the last great adventure was PBeM with someone that disappeared on me after a few months. Really unfortunate since the story we put together was really nice.
As for the likes and dislikes... I don't mind a pose from half a paragraph to 5 maybe, it really depends on the setting and how frequently the responses arrive. Flexible is the word I should be looking for. I will adjust to the responses though.
What really matters to me is the setting. How should I put this, I have no interest in vampire stories (been way too many on tv lately) and fantasy based universes with fluffy elves and really nice dwarves and this treehugger attitude.
To be honest, I fancy fiction, mostly science fiction from steampunk to space opera. I also don't mind a good horror scene, or possibly even adventures or war stories. I hope you get the idea .

Don't be mad at me okay? It's not like I had a choice, just following the rules *he he*. On a sidenote, if you have a scene that you think might interest me regardless of what I posted above? Out with it. I am always open for thought-through ideas .

I hope that you have a good time here at Nightstalkers. Unfortunately right now really the only thing going is the vampire stories because we've lost a few of our good players. I'm hoping to remedy that but we are working on it. Perhaps you can be our savior =] Check out the roleplays and such. If you find any that interest you, just send in an audition after reading the FAQ. You can always come to me for any questions you may have. I'm sure that once you let it, you will have a great time here.

After you've been here for a bit, if you want to suggest an RP of your own, just let me know. If you don't see me online, send me an AIM, I get on there a lot and will probably reply in a day or so. (I'm having computer problems so am borrowing a friends temporarily. That's why the delay.)
