Am I the only one...?

Alright everyone. I don't want to come across as an asshole, or anything like that, but I find it kinda odd that out of the 38 registered members(I know some quit) we can't manage to keep this site alive for more than maybe an hour every few days or weeks. I understand that nobody can be asked to devote their lives to a website, and I am aware that some people have extrenuating circumstances, but seriously? This can be extremely frustrating to others in an RP if they have to wait weeks before they can respond to a post, due to someone, or a group of people not being online.

I don't mean to be out of line, but is there any way we could try to improve this? Any ideas or something? I've been trying to find some people to join, but they are few and far between.

At the time of this post there have been about ten people online in the last 24 hours, but absolutely no RP movement. I don't expect someone to always be in an RP, but many people have been part of this for a year, and never done anything but Forum Fun.

I feel bad that I was missing from the site for so long, but I just tend to do that a lot in all things in my life. I always come and go; however, I have been trying to change that habit. I think what people need is just that one really good rp that they just can't get enough of, which would hopefully cause them to try and log in more and more and therefore reply.

What I really think would help is just know when people are most likely to log in and try to be online at hours that can cause them to reply more than once in a day. I know for me, I am on my laptop at some point in the afternoon and again around ten. SO for one the rps I am in it would be really awesome to have the other person online around those hours, or even days like weekends or days off from school or work. Timing really is a big part of it all.

I mean, I am hardly one to talk, because I go away for months at a time,(Out of my control) But I have been actively recruiting people these past few days, and i think that once we get enough people it should begin to take care of itself.

I agree, this is too dead and it needs to change! I wish I could post in something other than Forum Fun, but I'm afraid that the RPs I'm in aren't moving at the moment.

That's some cough you got there... Maybe you should see a doctor about it. ^_^
The question when it comes to that is are the people just not able to write or logging in to write. In which case I still really have no answers. Just glad that I have made it back, and it's been a couple days now. lol.

I know that most every writer has some sort of insecurities about their own writing, but it seldom stops them. i think most people just aren't comitted enough, to be rather blunt.

Calista, it was not meant as an offense, you know that. I am well aware that some people have problems they're dealing with, and I respect that, but I don't think Everyone has a good excuse

The person in my cough knows who they are. Either way, I understand you are having issues in RL Calista; I don't mean to or want to pressure you. But, as Shalterra said, " I don't think Everyone has a good excuse." Those without one need to either get their butts on here or at least have the decency to let us know what's stopping them from comming on.

Okays, I talked with Trilly and have figured it out. She has basically had an RP overload. We all know that she's in a lot of RPs on this site, and now she's also participating in one or two on MySpace that have a butt load of rules (I looked. My head hurt). Either way, all this is making it hard for her to WANT to RP, making not fun and something like a chore. She just needs some time to reboot, that's all.

She also added that RPing is sucking away at her creativity time, making it so she can't write her stories. I'm guessing she's gonna take a little break from even writing, then work a bit on her stories, and then come back with a buttload of responses. Also, she feels that she's been spending too much time in the cyber world and not enough in the real world. She wants to do some more stuff in RL with her friends before returning.

She also said (I'm remembering from last night; she's not here [she's at eye doctor]) that she was afraid to come on and say something about it because she doesn't feel that this is much of an excuse. I (this has nothing to do with our relationship) think it is a valid excuse, and hope you all think so as well. She's been working hard on these RPs, so I think she deserves a break.

HOWEVER! I don't think this would be a valid excuse for others who haven't been on or in as much stuff as her. -thinks of "old" new members who have done VERY little

To those who are working hard on the new RPs (Paint! and Pretty Kitty; they look so interesting!!) I commend you. Your keeping out site alive.

Anyway, I just wanted to say this and let people know.

The feeling of being overwhelmed is a more than adequate reason, especially in those cirumstances. We are all friends here and would have completely understood if she had just came on and said something along those lines, it's not like we would just respond saying "No, that's not good enough!" Trill has nothing to worry about on our end, she can continue to deal with it on her own time ^_^ Also, half the people she RP's with on her -are- also real friends
