Multi-para allows you to say a lot and learn a lot about other people's characters, because it can sometimes force you to write about your character's past and thoughts.

I prefer Novella. It gives me room to elaborate and really get into my character as well as provide plenty of details and back story needed to completely tell a story. It is also more of a challenge for me to write and thus also helps me with my writing outside of roleplay.

I agree with Angelic. Multi-para is just the right amount of writing to provide a good response to the post but it allows space for insight on the character's feelings as well. It covers what needs to be said but not enough to give out too much information, keeping things interesting.
